Is Miley Cyrus losing her voice?
A new tabloid report says that’s a real possibility. The Hannah Montana star has reportedly been diagnosed with a vocal cord nodule and the small bump, which is caused by continuous strain of her voice, could be the beginning of the end for Miley’s singing career.
According to Star Magazine “Miley’s voice started getting really horse in late August, and she was having troublee hittinghigh notes that she could hit before. Her concerned parents took her to a doctor, who diagnosed the beginning stages of the nodule. That’s obviously not good news, especially since she’s so young.”
Doctors have recommended Miley take three weeks of vocal rest. That means no singing, no humming, zip. MDs also suggested that she take vocal lessons to learn how to “properly warm her voice.”
Renee Grant-Williams, the Nashville singing voice who trained Miley before she became a household name, says the nodule has been a longtime coming.
“Even when Miley was 12, she had the speaking voice of a 30-year-old. She used to say, ‘My voice sounds like a dying German Shepherd when I hit the high notes.’”
She adds, “All that singing, it can be dangerous if she doesn’t take care of her voice.”

It was a big night in Los Angeles on Sunday (September 14), as Disney partnered with City of Hope to hold a benefit concert featuring Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers.
Also featuring the Jonas Brothers’ opening act, Demi Lovato, the Gibson Amphitheatre show helped support cancer research and treatment programs at City of Hope.

"This Concert for Hope demonstrates their commitment to improving the lives of patients with cancer and to helping create a future in which cancer is not only treatable, but curable and preventable."Last night’s star-studded performance continues in a line of charitable giving to the organization from both Disney and Miss Cyrus, as last year, Disney donated $1 from every ticket sold during her highly successful "Best of Both Worlds" concert tour - raising more than $1 million.
Miley Cyrus Enjoys a Starbucks Saturday
Enjoying an afternoon out and about, Miley Cyruswas spotted paying a visit to her local Starbucks in Los Angeles on Saturday (September 13).
The 15-year-old "Hannah Montana" singer/actress was accompanied by a female friend, along with her mother, Leticia, and little sister Noah.
Meanwhile, Miley’s rumored new co-star boyfriend Cody Linley recently spoke to Life and Style magazine about chatter that the two are dating (which was based on the two being spotted out together late at night earlier this month).
Linley explains of the evening, "We splatter-painted." He went on to say, "We are very, very close, and there is a connection. Yeah, I think that’s all I can say."
In the past, Miss Cyrus expressed her fondness for Mr Linley, telling: "He is so much fun to look at. He’s really fun and down to earth. And he’s hot!"

Hollywood's Guitar Heroes Take a Stand
Miley Cyrus signed it. So did Rihanna, Charlize Theron and Hayden Panettiere. As celebs made their way down the red carpet at Fashion Rocks on Friday night at New York's Radio City Music Hall, they were asked to autograph a Gibson Les Paul Supreme guitar. The limited-edition guitar is now being auctioned off for Stand Up To Cancer, an organization dedicated to advancing cancer research. Other celeb John Hancocks include Fergie, Hilary Swank, Chris Brown, Duffy, Paula Abdul, Solange Knowles and Leighton Meester, among many others. Bidding ends Sept. 15.

Miley Cyrus Inspired by Spears Family
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Miley Cyrus says her family draws inspiration from another celeb family -- The Spears'!
The pop powerhouse Cyrus family draws inspiration from another celeb-filled family, the Spears', according to Miley.
"We're so excited for them and their family just coming out. So empowered," Miley said of the Spears family. "We just feel so inspired by their family."
At Sunday's MTV "Video Music Awards," Miley told Access Hollywood's Mel B that the Spears' and Cyrus' are close.
"My mom and [Britney] are like great, great friends," The "Hannah Montana" star told Mel B.
Miley was also inspired by her own mom at Sunday's awards show -- inspired to borrow a pair of her mom's shoes for the red carpet
"I'm adjusting to these shoes, they're too small!" Miley said with a tinge of discomfort. "They're my mom's. Not good!"
Not letting the inspiration stop with just the Spears family, or her mom's fashion sense, Miley said her Zac Posen dress made her want to dance in the middle of the red carpet.
"I feel like --I'm like dancing -- like salsa!" Miley added.

Miley splashes out on racy birthday gift
Teen queen Miley Cyrus has splashed out on an early 16th birthday gift for herself - a racy $75,000 white convertible Mercedes Benz.
The Hannah Montana star - who reportedly earned US$18.2 million last year - is treating herself to the "fully loaded" Benz to mark the milestone on November 23.
A source said: "Miley wanted special options like parking assist and a cream-coloured leather interior, so she ordered the car early. She is telling everyone that she hopes to get a car when she turns 16, so when it comes, she can say it was a surprise from her parents."
Miley - the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus - recently revealed she wanted a “bad” car to celebrate turning 16.
She said: "I definitely want to get something bad on the road, big enough for all my friends and to scare all the cars away from me. I'm a good driver but it's everyone else that I'm worried about!"
Miley is set to celebrate her birthday at Disneyland, California, and is selling $250 tickets for the bash to raise money for Youth Service America.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed 7 Things - which appears on Miley’s current album Breakout - was written about her split from Jonas Brothers singer Nick Jonas.
The catchy track, which features the young star detailing the seven things she hates about an unnamed ex-boyfriend, includes the lyrics, "Your friends, they're jerks/When you act like them, just know it hurts."
Miley parted ways with Nick in 2007 after two years together.
Earlier this year, 15-year-old Nick insisted the song wasn’t about him, saying: "My friends aren’t jerks."
However, Brett Ratner - who directed the video for 7 Things - revealed the necklace Miley wears in the video was given to her by the boy she sings about.
He said: "She is wearing his diabetes or medical necklace. You can tell by the lyrics that they're very personal. The stuff she talks about in the video is clever and emotional and fun at the same time."
Nick has Type 1 diabetes and campaigns to raise awareness about the disease.

Miley turns 16, 7 weeks early
Sweet sixteen? Not just yet ...
But Miley Cyrus – who turns 16 on Nov. 23 – got an early jump on her birthday celebration Sunday night with a special bash at Disneyland.
“They say it’s the happiest place on Earth,” she said of the themepark, which was shut down exclusively for her.
The evening started with Cyrus and pals like Tyra Banks, David Archuleta and Demi Lovato strolling down a large purple carpet.
Cyrus's new beau, Justin Gaston, avoided the carpet rush – but he emerged onstage to help open up for the Hannah Montana star. The guitar playing Gaston joined Cyrus’s dad, Billy Ray, and older sis Brandi to sing “Achy Breaky Heart.”
"This is the most amazing sweet 16 that a girl could have!" Cyrus boasted as she stepped on stage to perform.
As for the present she loved the most? "My dog that I just got named Sophie," she told PEOPLE. "I'm so excited."
According to Disney, the Maltipoo –] a cross between a Maltese and a poodle – was a surprise from her parents and is named Sophie, after a dog owned by her late grandfather.
Later, Gaston looked on adoringly while the large crowd sang "Happy Birthday" to Cyrus. The Disney star – who calls the budding relationship “great” – then pulled him in close while they watched the fireworks finale.
With the stroke of midnight looming, the pop singer was still raring to go. "Its been a long night,” she said, “but I'm still ready to party and ride some rides!”
